Hi Folks,

Just finished the first and second leg of the trio tour, and although we had a couple of cancellations, I'm pleased to say that mostly the crowds came out in very indifferent weather to see us, and we had some great evenings, with old and new friends alike. Our last two gigs, Hitchin Folk Club, at The Sun Hotel,  and an added Crooked Billet, Stoke Row sunday 15th, and monday 16th respectively, will make a great finish to a difficult geographically, but pleasant socially and musically, tour.

I just have to add, that, in going to pay my respects to my late pal Lee Abbott, although a sad departure, it was lovely to see all Lee's family and loads of good old friends, and although sad in itself, we gave him a send off that he would have loved to have been at himself, although, of course, he was there in spirit. As aptly put by Lee's wife Shirley, "we are here to celebrate his life, not mourn his passing". And we certainly did drink to that! And will do continually.

Now news of foreign things. Jerry and I, along with Alan Thomson and Jim Drummond, will be playing four dates in Norway as The Backroom Boys, in Sandefjord, on 19th April, Odda Blues Club, 20th April, Etne Old River Saloon, 21st April, and Bergen on 22nd. We also will be playing as the Duo in Denmark, Ålborg Cafe Frederiksberg, on Wed 25th April, Brøndby Kulturhuset Kilden. on Thurs. 26th April, Vraa Hojskol, Vraa, near Hjørring, Fri 27th April, Cafeen, Hov,  Sat.28th April, and You'll Never Walk Alone, Kolding, on Sunday afternoon, 29th April.

That's about it for now folks, but thanks again to all the souls who braved the elements over the last six weeks to come and see us, we will be doing a few select dates in December, including The Great British Folk Festival in Skegness, and the Musketteers (Hunter Muskett) are doing a few dates in July, and also playing at Skeggy. More details later.
